Massage as an Art Form

An artist at heart, I studied painting and have dabbled in various kinds of art making - jewelry, glass blowing, woodworking, bookmaking, the list goes on - my whole life. I love exploring and asking questions and connecting. I see life as a continuous journey and am constantly trying to do it better and live more honestly.

Massage came to me after I moved to Portland almost a decade ago, and provides all of the things I really enjoy: working with my hands, being in a calm environment, and connecting with people.

Massage and art are not dissimilar. A friend's father put it best: 'Massage is a creative endeavor where you apply your "brushes," your hands, using different strokes to produce different results for each client.' Indeed, as with art, massage offers endless opportunities for learning that feed my brain and enrich my practice.
